About Noosa Museum

Winner of the ABC Regional Museums Award, 2010

Noosa Museum was founded by the Cooroora Historical Society in 1985 as a means to preserve vanishing remnants of our past, and to make our history accessible by residents and visitors.

The museum officially opened on 27th April 1985 in the building that was previously the Noosa Shire Council Chambers.

From 10 am to 3 pm
At other times by appointment
School and Tour Groups welcome

*Due to limited volunteer numbers the Museum may not always be open on a Saturday. We recommend you ring us prior to your visit to confirm our opening hours.
